Young for Magistrate
My name is Randall A. Young. For those of you who do not know me, I was born in Fairmount, GA and lived there for 18 years, 3 miles from the Pickens/Gordon County line. My family, friends and I, all belong here and I have dedicated my life to serving the people of Pickens County. In 1980, I moved here and began my working career at Big Canoe. For 4 years I worked as a security guard / EMT. Then I was hired by Pickens County Sheriff's Office for 5 years where I started as a jailer and then as a deputy sheriff. In 1989 I was fortunate enough to become an agent for the Forsyth / Pickens / Jasper Drug Task Force removing street level drugs from our communities. In the fall of 1994, the people of this county trusted me with the task of protecting their children in the public schools. I established a police department and to this date it consists of three very dedicated police officers with me overseeing them. I am asking for your vote and support in the upcoming election for Chief Magistrate Judge. I feel I can make a difference with fairness and unbiased decisions for the citizens of this county. I give you my experience and devotion as a veteran law enforcement officer for over 24 years. I will close by saying an elected official is a steward of the county, trust and honesty will be honored.
